Fall + Letting Go
I love Fall.
It's so beautiful, not just the changing leaves but the entire shift in season. I find it fascinating the whole process, the leaves fall, we clean up the mess of it all, a new leaf grows and it happens all over again. It is a good life lesson.
Its a good idea to regularly clear away clutter from our minds, our space, and our schedule.
Our minds can only hold so much before feeling cloudy and lost.
Our physical space can make us feel tired and unfocused if it is too cluttered.
Our schedules only have 24hrs in a day and we often try to squeeze in way more than what is actually possible, its important to let go of a task that is no longer serving you before adding something new. Otherwise we burn ourselves out and we don't have time to enjoy anything.
What can you clear away to feel a bit lighter?
What no longer serves you that you can let go?
Getting Back to You!
It’s easy to fall off track during the summer, whether its exercise, healthy eating, routine or whatever else you’re aiming for. September is an awesome time to get back on track and start back up again fresh!!
Wow...I can't believe summer is gone and September is here already. Happy first day of school to those of you with little ones!!! My little girl is starting school for the very first time this week. I luckily get a few more days with her before her first official day later this week.
My little girl & guy as we ventured out into downtown Toronto over the long weekend!
This month we are focusing on GETTING BACK TO YOU!! It’s easy to fall off track during the summer, whether its exercise, healthy eating, routine or whatever else you’re aiming for. September is an awesome time to get back on track and start back up again fresh!!
I have a challenge for you!! I want you to make 2 or 3 commitments to yourself and follow them daily for the next 4 weeks. What will you commit to doing for yourself to better yourself? Take a pen and write them down and keep your promise to yourself!
Maybe it’s to do with fitness or healthy eating. Or maybe it’s that you'll read 3 pages from a book every day or you'll say out loud something your grateful for every day. Whatever it is make sure you write it down and discipline yourself to follow it through! Feel free to share your commitments with me for some extra accountability!!!
Happy September to you!
Living Intentionally
Where will you be in your business & your life in 36 months. Not because you hope, but because you decide. Everyone knows how to create, you’re not a manager of your life, you’re a creator. – Tony Robbins
We all have the power inside ourselves to have what we want out of our lives. Whether that is freedom, more money, our ideal body, our ideal energy level, etc. I recently saw a video of Tony Robbins explaining this and it got me really pumped, I wanted to share.
Most people on the planet let life happen to them – living in a reactionary state.
Living intentionally is where its at.
Being aware and conscious of what you are creating in your life. Versus reacting. Having a vision and designing your future around it.
First step is getting yourself in tip top shape. I’m gifting you with a tool that will open your eyes towards creating your best self. Yes this tool has the power to make a profound difference in your life if you use it.
Remember…where do you want to be in 36 months? What are you creating now in order to make that happen? Success doesn’t happen overnight, it comes with small daily actions repeated over time!
Lots of love,
Jen xoxo
Force Vs Flow
When we force ourselves to work at the same pace as we regularly do for too long without listening to what our bodies need- we run into exhaustion, burnout and missed opportunities...
Some days feel low and some days feel high and its just the way it is. I had a low day yesterday. I was feeling tired, low energy, not very motivated. I just listened to my body and took it easy in the morning. My 3yr old was battling a fever from the night before so we were cuddling and watching Netflix. I told myself that I would do some work later in the afternoon. As I put my daughter down for a nap, I was still feeling tired, instead of forcing myself to be productive I just lay with her and napped too. As I woke from the nap I thought to myself, “Ok now I have to do something, work on my business, be productive, etc.” I went downstairs and cleaned the kitchen, and sat down and attempted to work. I was not focused and feeling lost, after about 20 minutes I said forget it and gave into the need for my body to rest and be still.
It was not an easy day mentally. Every time I would rest, I felt feelings of inadequacy and guilt, like I should be working harder and doing more. I’ve learned this lesson about 10 times before, and probably will need to learn it 10 more times again. But when we flow instead of force we will have more peace in our life. Listening to what our bodies need and being unapologetic about it is where we thrive. This is an act of self love that so many of us ignore. When we force ourselves to work at the same pace as we regularly do for too long without listening to what our bodies need- we run into exhaustion and burnout and we miss opportunities because we are running around too un-focused and scattered.
The good news is that when you listen to what your body needs, more good will come out of it, and the balance will swing the other way. This morning I woke with even more drive and momentum than I ever could have forced the day before. It’s the relationship between force and flow – and low and high. We all have low and high days, but being able to listen to them and honoring yourself through them is where we get another step closer to mastering our best selves and utilizing and respecting our bodies in the best way.
